This site was created by Patrick Reynolds, grandson of tobacco company founder R.J. Young Choices
Cancer Survivor Don Young started smoking at the early age of 14. By age 48, Don underwent a series of operations for throat cancer which saved his life, but left him unable to speak. He now uses an electrolarynx which allows him to produce a robot-like speech. Today, as a cancer survivor, Don helps young people resist tobacco. By sharing his painful experience with others, Don hopes to save many young people from the suffering and premature death that tobacco can cause.
